December already??

It's that time of year again. The one where the malls are full of noisy kids and roads are free from the morning school rush. While the lucky few are enjoying (or about to enjoy their break), I'll still be stuck in the freezing cold office, spending a portion of the day trying to get some work done then spending the rest of it day-dreaming about a holiday somewhere quiet with plenty of photo ops like so.

Seven Nymphs

The Seonimgyo Bridge is a red arch bridge on Jeju Island looking over Cheonjeyeon Waterfall. The bridge has seven nymphs carved on both sides, symbolizing the Korean legend of the descent of seven beautiful nymphs from heaven at night. The Seonimgyo Bridge has 100 guard rails and 34 stone lanterns which light up at night.

Drama Set

The following photos were taken at the Seopjikoji, a southern district in Jeju Island, Korea. The Seopjikoji is home to the "All In House" which is Korea's first drama memorial hall dedicated to the Korean drama "All In". The church-like architecture is a perfect example of the "devil in disguise" as it actually houses a casino where visitors can play against a casino dealer, and those who collect twenty chips win a special souvenir. FYI, we only took pictures and didn't visit the casino :P

Very Foggy Day, can hardly see the lighthouse

Tasek Lama

Don't go Chasing Waterfalls...but this is an exception
Kingdom of Unexpected Treasures

Remember TLC's Waterfall? The video touched on important issues such as drug dealings, HIV and AIDS and self-esteem. I believe that song was what made TLC huge back in the 90's. I mean remember T-Boz with her sultry voice? Remember Left-Eye (RIP) with her cool rapping style and the condom under her left eye to promote safe sex? And of course, do you remember Chilli with the bridge she sang on Red Light Special? Need I say more? These trio was huge back in the days. I remember singing the whole album, CrazySexyCool after school with friends. Those were the days. And Chilli's part in Red Light Special was probably our favourite!! haha

The picture above just reminded me of the song. It was taken at Tasek Lama. Brunei has a lot to offer, sure we don't have huge malls, highstreet shopping or designer boutiques. Although we still are developing ourselves in that aspect. But what we do and is widely known to have is wildlife, acres and acres of green and clean air. So if you're a nature lover, come to Brunei. It's summer all year round, and you never know, you might come head to head with wildlife animals. And when that happens, don't forget to get that camera out. It sure will be a moment to remember.

Up & Below

More photos from our one hour visit at Kg Tamoi. I wonder if we'd go on an outing right at noon ever again...
Thought the Clouds look dramatic here.

Could've made the walkway look longer...

Not that it wasn't a long stretch, it was. We were sweating so much just to get our shots! But it was well worth it :)

Wish You Were Here

A silhouette of Someone's Someone

Going on holiday without that special someone? No fun at all. Going to the movies to watch a comedy without the person you love? Empty laughters. Going through life without that one special person? Not a life. Listening to love songs and they make you think of that special someone? That's love. Dedicated to friends who are about to embark on a lifelong commitment... Congratulations!

During Sunset

On The Move

I don't sit in the backseat often but somehow that one day, it was just my fate (hehe). Don't matter, it gave me a chance to look out the window and appreciate the view. Here's one during sunset, should've rolled down the window though.

True Holiday Spot

Imperium

Dad mentioned a couple of days ago that so and so cousin will be having their birthday at the Empire Marine Centre today. My ears immediately perked up at the news. Lil cousins birthday parties aren't normally my most favourite way to spend a Sunday but this time I didn't have to find an excuse not to go. Everybody knows that the Empire = snap happy grounds. No matter how many times you go there, you can't deny the splendour of the place. Since my new lens hasn't arrived, I ventured out armed with only a wide angle.

Deep in Conversation

Tranquil Waters

Oh btw, to all the photographers out there, what do I do if I find specks of dust in my photos? I know it isn't the lens cos the speck is still visible when I change lenses. Is it sufficient to use a blower to clean the sensor or will I only be making it worse? Help!
