Chicken for the Whole World

Finger Lickin' Good

I was looking for fun facts on Chicken (don't ask why, I was bored) and I came across this:

Laid head to claw, KFC chickens consumed worldwide would stretch some 275,094 miles. They would circle the Earth at the equator 11 times or stretch from the Earth approximately 50,094 miles past the moon.

I thought that was fascinating although it didn't say if it was a year's supply of chicken or a month or you know? I would've thought it would be McDonald's or something. But then I guess KFC is most famous for its fried chicken. Having found that tidbit of info, I googled some more and found this:

In 1995 KFC sold 11 pieces of chicken for every man, woman and child in the US.

Hehe I thought that was interesting, if only they had statistics for Brunei. So if you think you eat too much chicken, don't worry, just keep in mind that you're only helping break the record ;)

I remember reading an article a year or so ago that Brunei is actually the highest consumer of chicken per capita in the world.

"Where oh where did my..chickens go...?"
